I am a voluntary translator who’s working on the Ben Hunlap’s talk for TED.

When I was translating, I felt that annotations are need in some part of the talk. When I put them, the subtitle became lengthy, making it almost impossible to read all in a given time.

I was wondering if it is possible to put extra subtitle simultaneously on the top of the screen and make it stay for longer so that the viewers can read them when they have time between the transitions of the main subtitle. I think certain part of the talk will not be understood unless some explanation is provided.

Your subtitle program is very nice and I find it very easy to work with as it is now. However, if adding annotations is possible, the translators will be able to convey more information and will be able to make better translated subtitles.

    Hi Jung-Hwan:

Thanks for the question but no we do not yet have the ability for annotations. It is something we are considering, but as you know, we are a new tool and we designed this system to be a easy as possible to use. I hope this answers your questions
