translations
I understand that it is no problem to submit an own video to translate. What I need to do is to have my students create subtitles for videos we watch in class. I wonder whether we have the right to do this, as we did not create the videos... ????

Hi Sigi:
Thanks for your interest in dotSUB.
To answer your question, if the "owner" of the video has opened their video to the public, then yes, you can have your students translate these videos.
So you do not have to be the "owner" to translate any video, it is up to the" owner" to let the public translate them.
I hope this answers your questions.
Thanks,
