Knowledge Base: Why do some "right to left" languages not display correctly?
Some right to left languages, such as Arabic, Hebrew, do not display or "render" properly on the player. This is not a dotSUB issue rather a Flash issue. The ligatures do not display properly in the player but they do display properly on the dotSUB translation interface. There are also issues with punctuation for Hebrew.
This is a Flash versions 8 and 9 issue. The latest version, Flash 10, addresses these issues. We are currently working on this from our end and will have this resolved in one of our next releases in the near future.
