Knowledge Base: Can I change the source language of a video?
dotSUB allows user to translate subtitles from any language into any language. For example, if the source language of a video is English, but you would like to subtitle from Spanish into French, you can change the source language, provided that you have permission to subtitle that particular video.
To do this, click on the video you would like to subtitle, then
choose the language you will subtitle into from the drop down menu
just to the right of the player (under the blue "Translate and
Transcribe" tab).

Click on your language, then click on the yellow "Translate"
button. Once you get to the translation page, look to the top left
just above the blue bar for "Source Language".
You can choose the language you would like to translate from by selecting it from the drop down menu.
