Your project can be set up so that it automatically publishes your captions and translations back to your Online Video Platform, YouTube or Vimeo channels and more.
However, in some cases, you might want to have a colleague review your translations before they go live.
This document will provide you the steps on how to assign a team member as reviewer for your translations.
To assign a reviewer, they first need to create a free Dotsub account at dotsub.com, by clicking on the "Sign Up Free" link at the top:
Once your reviewer has a Dotsub account, login to your project area on Dotsub.com > Menu > My Projects:
Open the video by clicking on the plus sign next to it and click the "Assign Reviewer" button:
At the pop-up, enter the reviewer's username and the reviewer will receive a notification e-mail with the link to the video, asking their help to review:
The reviewer will now receive an automated system notification advising them the translation has been completed, and they have been asked for their help revising:
Once they click on the "Translate Video" link, they will be taken to our translation interface, where they can edit any line by clicking the pencil icon that appears when hovering over it with the mouse, clicking on the green checkmark (or pressing Enter) to save any changes in real time.
Once they have finished reviewing the video and making any necessary changes, they can approve the translation by clicking on "Mark this Translation as Revised" to confirm their approval:
Every Project Manager on your project will then receive a notification advising the translation is now ready for publishing.
Automating the Process
If the same person will be reviewing/approving all of your translations, this process can be fully automated, so that you do not need to assign each video and language individually.
To do this, click on the "Project Settings" tab from your project area:
Enable "Translation Reviews" under Auto Assign Settings:
And, finally, click on the plus sign at the upper right corner of this panel:
At the pop-up, you will be prompted to enter the language and username of your reviewer:
Once this setting is saved, the acting reviewer will be notified whenever a new translation into that language is completed on your project.
They can then follow the steps described above to review and approve the translations.
