adjusting timing

Angela Barbosa Jun 26, 2015 11:59AM EDT

How can I fix the timing spot on a video I have previously transcribed and translated? In order to get a better result of the translated version, I would adjust the timing on it differently as it is in the source language captions.

Thank you.

-Angela.

Hello, Angela!

Since the captions in English serve as the template for the timecodes of all subsequent translations, the time codes cannot be different for each language. You can edit the time codes of the original captions to better suit the translation or, as a workaround, you could upload a copy of your existing video, export/download the translation you desire to modify the time codes on, and import them on the duplicate video as its captions.
Once they have been imported you will be able to modify them as you see fit.

Should have any questions along the way, please do not hesitate in letting us know.

Best regards,

Nani DL,
Dotsub
